General:
In order for OzPet Transport to process your order you must READ AND AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS. Once you order has been confirmed a copy of the invoice and conditions of service will be sent to you along with general information about transporting your pet. The conditions of service form outline authorization for emergency vet care and must be completed prior to travel.
Quotations:
The quotation or estimate is based on information provided by the owner or their representative, the weight, height and length of the pet/s or dimensions of your travel container/s are used to calculate the freight and crate charges. If there is any increase in the size/weight of the pet or travel container, extra freight charges will be added to the owner’s account. Pickup and Delivery are quoted for between the hours of 7am and 7pm, road transport outside these hours will attract additional charges. The charges in this quotation are valid for 30 days. Quotations are based on current tariffs and freight tariffs are subject to increases without prior notification. Insurance for pets whilst in kennels or during travel is not included in our charges. OzPet Transport cannot be held responsible for airline delays, cancellation of flights, incorrect routing by airlines, change of aircraft type or available capacity by airlines, or loss of veterinary documents by airlines.
Payment:
Full payment is required prior to transport. If you pay with a credit card, your card will be charged no more than 5 days prior to the scheduled transport. FOR CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS, BY INDICATING YOUR AGREEMENT HERE OR BY OTHER MEANS, YOU CONSENT THAT YOUR CREDIT CARD IS TO BE CHARGED ACCORDING TO THESE TERMS, CONDITIONS AND RATES. YOU ALSO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT ANY ATTEMPT TO CANCEL PAYMENT AFTER ORDERS HAVE BEEN PERFORMED ACCORDING TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CONSTITUTES THEFT OF SERVICES. If you are paying by money order, cheque or direct debit, it must be received no later than four days prior to the scheduled transport.
Pickup and Delivery:
Dates and times of Pickup and Delivery: On confirmation of pickup and delivery a date and time will be given. On the date of the transport our driver will call to confirm with you the exact time of either the pickup or drop off and any special requirements your pet may have. It is further understood that these times are solely estimates. There are unforeseeable factors which can and do influence the times given for a transport such as: weather, road conditions, and the care of pets which have special needs to name a few.
Picking up Animal: In the event NO PERSON IS PRESENT TO SEND the pet scheduled for transport and/or we are unable to contact the responsible party, the driver/attendants will continue the transport without your animals. You will be charged a 25% administration fee. We recommend that you make alternate arrangements in case the person responsible for sending the animals is unable to do so.
Delivering Animals: IF NO ONE IS AVAILABLE TO RECEIVE the animals and/or we are unable to contact the responsible party there will be a daily fee of $25.00 per animal to defray the cost of care and boarding. The party who ordered the transport will be responsible for these extra charges. It is highly recommended that alternate arrangements be made in case the person responsible for receiving the animal is unable to do so.
Boarding Animals: If boarding with one of the OzPet Transport Network all charges will be charged at daily rates payable in full as per the service agreement. In the event that boarding/delivery of the pet is required to be ongoing until a date is confirmed credit card details will be required as security and fee will be charge a month in advance. Where pets require boarding in local boarding facilities, valid inoculation certificates MUST be produced. In most instances inoculations and deworming is to be carried out at least two weeks prior to travel or admission into kennels. If you use an alternate kennel or other boarding facility, it will be your responsibility to make sure they are aware that we may arrive outside of regular business hours so that they can accommodate our drivers.
Rescheduling: In the event that you find the need to reschedule your transport within 48 hours prior to the commencement of the transport date, you will be charged a rescheduling fee of $25.00. Rescheduling of your transport prior to 48 hours before the commencement of the transport date will incur no additional penalties. Please contact our office as soon as you know of a change of plan. All customers wishing to reschedule a transport must receive a rescheduling confirmation number from our office in order to verify that the transport will be rescheduled.
Cancellation: Cancellations must be made no later than 72 hours prior to the transport date. Cancellations made after payment has been processed (see above) will receive a refund of the total cost less 10% administration fee. If you cancel after 72 hours prior to the transport date, you will be charged the full transport.
